About the film

Sight Lines is a 23-minute documentary film that examines and demystifies the practice of providing access for blind and visually impaired actors.

The film, written and directed by Tim Gebbels, follows a group of blind and visually impaired actors through a typical day of rehearsal, and demonstrates a variety of options for accommodating access requirements, such as making the stage and working space accessible and providing access to written scripts.

Funded by the Arts Council of England through Graeae’s VIP project, the documentary aims to provide a model for theatre companies and practitioners for working with blind and visually impaired performers.
